    Agua Fria National Monument
    Agua Fria National Monument is located about 40 miles north of Phoenix, in between Camp Verde and Scottsdale. It contains two mesas – Perry Mesa and Black Mesa and encompasses 71,000 acres of semi-desert area, which includes some rich riparian habitat along the Agua Fria River.

    Tonto National Monument
    The masonry ruins are nearly 700 years old at Tonto National Monument. Located on the scenic Apache Trail Loop near Roosevelt, it is the site of the home of the pre-historic Salado Native Americans. Their cliff-dwellings can be viewed by visitors to the area.
